How to install CRS (Carta Regionale dei Servizi) on UBUNTU

On Ubuntu 11.10 is quite easy make italian CRS working (hopefully on ubuntu repository the necessary libs are on the correct version!)

The packages to install are this:

pcscd
libccid
opensc

plus, the drivers of your smart card reader. Check this link http://wiki.debian.org/Smartcards. In my case (Alcor Micro AU9520):

libacsccid1

Then you must configure Firefox to use smart card reader. On Firefox Preferences/Advanced click on Security Devices and load this lib:

/usr/lib/pkcs11/opensc-pkcs11.so

Enjoy e-gov.

Update: after the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04, CRS stop working because the library opensc-pkcs.so is now on a different path: /usr/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so

Update 2: Update: after the upgrade to Ubuntu 14.04, CRS stop working because the library opensc-pkcs.so is now on a different path: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opensc-pkcs11.so
